Pelican — grant programme

A Minimal Core licence, free, for every non-profit that qualifies.

A Minimal Core licence, issued at no charge to qualifying non-profit organisations and renewed on review each year. There is no cap: every organisation that passes review is granted one.

A pelican’s pouch holds three times what its stomach can. Ask for more than you need.

The most important databases make no money. A food bank’s inventory, a clinic’s waitlist, a school’s attendance ledger, a shelter’s count of beds still empty tonight. Pelican makes the licence free, for all of them.

01

The commitment

A Minimal Core licence at no charge, for every non-profit organisation that qualifies. Unlike Ostrich’s $30M annual reserve, Pelican has no annual cap; we do not run out.

The licence renews each year on review. No card on file, no invoice, no clause that turns the gift into a bill.

02

What the licence carries

One product: Minimal Core, the data access layer over a database you already run. It serves every table as REST and as MCP tools, permissioned per identity, from a binary on machines you control. The donor ledger, the case files and the intake queue each become endpoints an agent can call. Core is in beta.

The licence is for Minimal Core, nothing more.

03

Who qualifies

A registered non-profit in good standing under the law of its home jurisdiction — India, the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States, or South America. Registration details come with the application, and every application must also satisfy the laws of India, where Littlebit Labs is registered.

One application covers all three programmes — Ostrich and Sparrow included. You do not choose; we read what you sent and offer whichever fits the work.

04

The review

Pelican is review-based, not first-come. We read what the organisation runs today, who it serves, and what the licence would unlock — and we grant it where those three line up. Some applications are declined; we say so plainly rather than leave you waiting.

Grants are issued only where the laws of India and of your jurisdiction allow us to issue them.

05

What it does not include

None of our SaaS stack is part of the programme or the licence: Agent Studio, App Studio, Chat Studio, Ask Studio and API Bay are each priced on their own. Support is best-effort, through the same channels everyone else uses. Renewal is a review, not a promise.

Your name and story appear on our site only if you offer them.

06

Non-compete

Whoever holds a grant under the programme does not build a product that competes with Littlebit Labs for the next 7 years.

07

What we ask in return

We take no equity, no revenue share, nothing from you. Besides the non-compete above, we ask one thing: tell us what you think of the product every quarter.

Your tech stack is covered.
You change the world.
