# Acme Corporation employee handbook

Acme Corporation is a fictional company with about 120 employees in four teams: Engineering, Platform, Data and Research. Its head office is in Lisbon and its second office is in Pune.

## Working hours

Core hours are 10:00 to 15:30 in your office's local time. Everyone is expected to be reachable during core hours. Outside them you set your own schedule with your team lead.

## Where you work

You may work from home up to two days a week. Wednesday is the office day for everyone, and no one works from home on a Wednesday.

## Equipment

Every employee gets a laptop, replaced every 36 months. A one-time home desk budget of 340 euros is paid after your first month. Lost or stolen equipment must be reported to the IT desk within 2 hours.

## Expenses

Submit every expense claim within 17 days of the purchase date. A claim submitted on day 18 or later is not reimbursed. Claims above 400 euros need the approval of your department head before you buy.

## Security

Your screen locks after 4 minutes of inactivity. Never share a hardware key. Report anything suspicious to security@acme.example.
